A new trailer for Sofia Coppola’s “The Bling Ring” has been released. Based on actual events, the film follows a group of teenagers who break into famous people’s homes (Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, Audrina Patridge, and Orlando Bloom). Taissa Famiga, Israel Broussard, Katie Chang, and Claire Julien co-star. The Bling Ring will premiere at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and opens in limited release on June 14th.
Tracking their targets’ online, the teens break-in and steal designer clothes and possessions. Reflecting on the naiveté of youth, amplified by today’s culture of celebrity and luxury brand obsession, the members of the Bling Ring introduce us to temptations nearly any teenager would find hard to resist.
